This is my humble, ever-expanding effort to bring together fledgling and die-hard indie author supporters with indie authors themselves. Here I'll focus on education, resource-sharing, and networking, because I believe that greater understanding leads to higher-quality books, healthy author/reader relationships, and stronger communities as a whole.

First, what do we mean by "indie"?

"Indie" is short for "independent". You'll hear it in the context of types of author or publisher. Simply-put, an independent author or publisher/press runs on their own steam (monetary and otherwise), without a traditional support network or affiliation to a larger entity. Indie authors may also be called self-published authors.

Now, let's explore!

Though I've grouped these sections into those for readers and supporters and those for authors, there's plenty of crossover. If you belong to one camp, make sure to explore the other so you have a greater understanding of the indie ecosystem as a whole! Knowledge is power, after all.
